Anemone is a real live band – created and lead by songwriter and musician Chloé Soldevila, accompanied by Miles Dupire Gagnon, Gabriel Lambert, Zachary Irving and Samuel Gemme. Calling it «limitless pop», it is music to be blasted from car speakers and at parties, a communal experience intended to be shared, the kind of emotional catharsis that can pack a dance floor —sometimes even packing the stage as well. Creatively incorporating aspects that can vary from dream pop, dance music and krautrock, it is music that will stick with you, that will live inside your brain, that will be come a part of you forever. It is music that refuses to be ignored.
What people are saying about Anemone:
“Beat My Distance resembles the aural equivalent of a beach-town postcard, its airy shoegaze atmosphere drifting in and out at a leisurely tide. That calming, sun-dappled backdrop, in turn, helps Soldevila’s sweet, simplistic hooks ripen to perfection: organic alchemy at its finest” – BANDCAMP
Breezy singles like “Daffodils” and “Memory Lane” hit with overwhelming amounts of wistful pop. While their earliest offerings suggested Anemone is best experienced while dancing, this album proves their pop instincts (“Sunshine (Back To The Start),” “She’s The One”) are still more than intact – NOISEY VICE
