Alice Longyu Gao
Alice Longyu Gao is an independent artist who has written songs in Japanese, English, and Mandarin and is credited with pioneering the “hyperpop” genre. Known for her viral track “I <3 Harajuku,” she has been featured in The Fader, Billboard Pride, DAZED, i-D magazine and NME. (NME 100 artist this year) Alice has also performed DJ sets at culturally-forward events such as Murakami x Billie Eilish’s Garage Magazine Cover launch, the Parrish Art Museum’s Annual Gala, and two MoMA exhibition openings. As an artist, Alice reaches beyond a singular medium, redefining what it means to be a multi-hyphenate creator. Released debute EP “High Dragon and Universe” in 2021.
